Drug users are consumers of toxically compulsive and out-of-control drug use, despite negative consequences. In the last few decades, drug addiction has increased exponentially in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, a significant population of people is addicted to drugs. Almost in all the provinces, the number of people addicted to drugs is increasing dramatically. In Baluchistan most of the illegal drugs come from the neighbouring country Afghanistan. Drugs are especially highly destructive and harmful to the young people.

Most of people addicted to drugs have their setups around the atmosphere of educational institutions. The students community in educational institutions are accustomed to drugs, because of those people who have managed their places near the educational institutions. Students involved in drugs addiction, have been indulged themselves in criminal activities.

“Addiction is just a way of trying to get at something else. Something bigger. Call it transcendence if you want, but it’s a rat in a maze. We all want the same thing. We all have this hole. The thing you want offers relief, but it’s a trap.”
