As part of the British Museum London’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration, there was an excellent exhibition on the history of Arab Horses. It
It narrated a legend that to test a real Arab stallion, Arabs starved horses for sometime. Then they placed fodder in front of the horses and asked the horse master to call them at the same time. The horses who were loyal enough to come to the call of the master, overcoming his hunger was considered the best. None passes such test of loyalty and endurance except a few. There were only 3 horses brought to UK in 17 th century, and all the best horses for Equastrian are from the same bloodline.
