Once I saw an Arabian Jasmine: Poem by Yahya Hassan Zaib
That reminded me of a pure Soul,
Of a person_or of magnificent Ore,
That I, often unintentionally Ignored.
I missed the beauty of her exterior,
Not knowing the dept of her interior,
That I later realized
On the departure of her gleaming eyes;
Whom described her internal Beauty,
I Hugged her tight with a sudden fright
That I’ll lose a diamond in a pride.
I Hold her tight in my arms
But she unbraced herself heart-broken
And left me in a horrible commotion.
