Tears: English poem by Maria Tahir

Let my Tears flow,
Let them take my Pain away.
My eyes are dry,
with the Wind of grief.
Let my Tears flow,
Let me wet my eyes.
Eyes are window to Soul,
Window to the outer world.
Let my Tears flow,
Let me clear the dust of Grief,
Let the Tears be my Analgesic,
Let them be my Tranquilizers,
Let them make me fall asleep.
Let my Tears flow,
Let them light my Soul,
Let Lily flower in my heart,
Just let them flow.
Can’t hold my Tears,
Not now,
Blocking my Lung, Blocking my Heart,
Please let my Tears flow, Let me breathe.
