A Day to Mourn: English Poem by Taha Furqan Hanif

A Day to Mourn: English Poem by Taha Furqan Hanif

Been thinking of the times;
when you were nothing but mine
How I used to see your face;
the finest of the fine
I used to long to see you smile
To smell the scent of your feminine
The eyes of you the only Nile I know
The lips of you the only rose I know
But then you left me, a day to mourn
You credence in what they said
And then you ripped what was one
You left me with the infatuation;
which once was ours
You left me bereaved;
and a wound, macabre.
