Let Us Walk Away: English Poem by Huzaifa Awan

Let Us Walk Away (Poem): English Poem by Huzaifa Awan [Intermediate Pt. II]

Let us walk away,
Hands clenched,
Arm in arm,
Together,
With gloomy treads
And swaying steps
Across the mellow Earth
Where the countryside,
Turns modest green.

Let us walk away,
From the world

In dappled sunlight
Gleaming through trees
The unclouded sky
Fawning upon us;
Unroofed now,
Unburdened,

Let us walk away,
To contemplate emptiness,
To study silence
Ponder over darkness preserved
For now,
For years to come,
Forever.
